Cosmetics on Trial – The Verdict Is In
Come join a campaigning group of young women as they discuss the need for chemical policy reform in the cosmetic industry and the results of their testing of twelve personal care products. One month ago these young women shipped off some of their favorite personal care products to a lab, putting their cosmetics on trail and now – the verdict is in. The young women will reveal the results of the testing in a compelling and informative skit where we will place our cosmetics on trial once and for all. Expert witnesses will include Sarah Hart of Colby College who will also release a website that she has completed on cosmetic safety, Cindy Luppi of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, Mike Belliveau of the Environmental Health Strategy Center and students from Waterville High School, Hardy Girls Healthy Women, Colby College and Unity College.
